A POPULAR pub restaurant in Northumberland is winning recognition across the country after winning the latest in a series of awards. Chef Rhian Cradock and his wife Helen Greer are toasting success at the Feathers Inn in Hedley on the Hill near Stocksfield, after it was named Best Pub in the North.

It was the only North East winner to pick up a prize when the Northern Hospitality Awards were held in Manchester this week to name the pick of hundreds of entrants from the North East, Yorkshire and the North West.

Mr Cradock said: "We are absolutely delighted to win Best Pub at this year's Northern Hospitality Awards. It's such a great accolade and is credit to our fantastic team back in Stocksfield."

The couple's gourmet creations from locally sourced ingredients have already won them the title of Northumbria Dining Pub of the Year from the Good Pub Guide three years' running, Yorkshire and North East Pub of the Year and Local Food Hero for the North East. …
