IT STARTED out as one of Maryborough's best kept secrets: an oasis in the CBD where one could relax, recharge and be inspired.

But word quickly spread Co and over four years Janet's Art has become the social and creative hub for hundreds of Fraser Coast residents.

For owner Janet Revill, it seems incredible that Janet's Art has been open for four years.

"So much has happened in that time Co so many friends have been made, so many things have evolved and so many workshops and exhibitions have taken place," she said.

"The shop is no longer brand new Co the specially laid huon pine floor now has many dents and marks and the shelves heave under the weight of so many books but the friendly and relaxed atmosphere has never changed.

"My new customers are taken aback by just how much stock there is."

To celebrate four wonderful years in business, Janet's Art will host a 4th birthday party tomorrow night.

For $15, guests will be treated to the sounds of The Massey Strings' violins, violas, cello and vocals and have their taste buds tantalised with delicious snacks and refreshments. …
