Shocked Judge: Keep Torture Boys Locked Up

THE brothers who tortured two young boys are still a danger to the public and must be kept behind bars, the Appeal Court ruled today.

Then aged 10 and 11, they received indeterminate sentences in January for the "appalling and terrible" attack on boys aged nine and 11 in Edlington, near Doncaster.

In a 70-minute ruling at the Court of Appeal, Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge said the safety of the public must be paramount and rejected the defendants' appeal to have their sentence cut.

The judge detailed the "prolonged and sadistic violence" of the brothers, who are now aged 11 and 12.

Only days after a similar attack on another boy, they lured their victims to a secluded spot where, over 90 minutes, they subjected them to beatings, choking, forced a cigarette into an open wound until the light was extinguished by the victim's blood, forced them to eat nettles, stripped them and ordered them to sexually abuse each other. …
