Fine 68 Gives Rogers Two-Shot Lead in Club C'ship

BARGARA men played the first two rounds of their 72-hole championships on the weekend.

In A-grade the leader is Nick Rogers on 148 after he made up for a first round of 80 by firing a fine four-under par, 68.

Steve Hartley is in second position after rounds of 72 and 78 for total 150.

There are three players in a handy position on 151 and they are Jordan Curd, Mark Kirchner and Daniel Watson. The B-grade is being led by Steven Shield who finished with a fine 77 on Saturday but slipped 10 shots on Sunday for a total of 164. Steven Listis went one shot further back after rounds of 79 and 86.

Haydon Kirchner leads the

C-grade with 180 after rounds of

90 while in second place is Angus

Cuskelly on 181.

It is great to see the juniors doing well in the championships with Nick Rogers, Jordan Curd, Haydon Kirchner and Angus Cuskelly all holding their own against considerably older players.

LAST Thursday the men played a stroke event and the winner was John Antrobus with 63 net on a countback from Jim Smith. …
