CLARENCE Valley financial institutions the Bendigo Bank and Westlawn Investments have been so touched by the plight of a desperately ill little girl, they have risen to a challenge to help her.

Between them, the two companies have donated $1300 to the Indianna Appeal set up early last week by the Riverside Church, to raise money for Indianna Allen who is waiting for a liver transplant in a Brisbane hospital.

The church's pastor, Greg Holder, said the appeal had also touched the hearts of the community, raising almost $4000 in just four days.

Pastor Greg and State Member for Clarence Steve Cansdell have thrown out a challenge to the other financial institutions in the Clarence Valley to match or better the generosity of the Bendigo Bank and Westlawn.

Indianna is suffering from the liver disease biliary atresia, which affects the ducts and blood vessel connecting her liver to the small intestine.

If she does not receive a liver transplant soon she will sicken and die. …
