Miracle Worker Mum off to Aussie Awards

SHE'S a amiracle worker'' according to Charmaine Mann's daughters.

Tannum Sands mum Charmaine Mann flew out to Sydney yesterday as Queensland's representative for Barnardos Mother of the Year competition.

Mrs Mann, who was named Queensland winner of the annual event, is a mum of six and foster mum to aa gazillion''.

Charmaine's door has always been open to any child who needed a roof over their head and many of the children Charmaine has fostered had drug issues or came from families with drug issues.

Charmaine is lovingly referred to as "Aunty Mum, Aunty Nana or Mum Mann'' by her foster children.

Charmaine's daughter Emma said she nominated her mum so it would be about her for once.

"Mum has always done for other people, but never for herself and this nomination is about her," Emma said.

Charmaine, along with her husband Eric, daughters Emma and Larrena and their partners flew to Sydney yesterday for the Gala Dinner and announcement of Australian Mother of the Year tomorrow night. …
