SOME FEES AT PARKS WAIVED FOR JUNE 5-6

Day-use entrance fees will be waived June 5-6 at all national parks, national wildlife refuges and many other federal lands.

Locally, fees will be waived at Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument.

Fees are not waived for camping and specialized services, such as guided tours and boat rentals.

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE PLANNED AT CEMETERY

A Memorial Day service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

The event, held by VFW Post 8385, Navy Fleet Reserve Branch 248 and Submarine Veterans of Kings Bay, includes the placing of wreaths on a grave and a march to the St. Marys waterfront.
