LADY Darshaan has been highly tried this term but she can make the most of a drop back to Listed company at Newbury.

The Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes (3.05) represents a much easier task on paper for Stan Moore's charge after tackling both the English and Irish 1000 Guineas so far this year.

Placed at Group One level as a juvenile, Moore opted to head straight to Newmarket without the benefit of a run and Lady Darshaan was ultimately found wanting.

Her rider opted to race up the centre of the track which later transpired to be a massive disadvantage, while the easier ground would not have played to her strengths either.

The daughter of High Chaparral put up a much better performance in Ireland, though, finishing a creditable sixth -just over two lengths behind the winner, Bethrah.

That form was given a boost when fourth-placed Remember When bagged third in the Oaks and as Lady Darshaan is bred to go further than a mile, this step up to 10 furlongs should spark further progression.

Nouriya let down favourite-backers when beaten at odds-on at this track in April but she can make amends in the first division of the sportingbet.com Maiden Fillies' Stakes (3.40).

Fourth behind Timepiece on her sole start as a juvenile, she was then unlucky enough to bump into Gertrude Bell on her seasonal reappearance in Berkshire.

There was little disgrace in finishing third as the winner has gone on to Listed success and a fifth-place finish in the Oaks.

Nouriya should surely have something in hand on these rivals.

Bintalwaadi is the choice in the Betfair Handicap (4.0) at Nottingham after breaking her maiden on the all-weather at Lingfield last time.

Ed Dunlop's charge was second on her racecourse debut at this track last July and was then off the track until pitching up to Lingfield in April.

She made short work of eight rivals that day, despite running a bit green, and her action suggested she would certainly relish a little cut in the ground. …
