The following is a compilation of reports from Beaches-area police departments:


- Police will be on the lookout for drunken drivers Sunday from the 100 block to the 1900 block of Mayport Road.

The extra patrols will operate from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. Monday.

- A 24-year-old man was attacked while riding a bicycle about 12:48 a.m. Monday on Plaza Road near Mayport Road.

The victim and another bicyclist were heading west when they saw a car approach the area. He said four men got out of the vehicle, one of them knocked him off the bike and all four tried to take his wallet. The victim fought back and after a brief scuffle, the men got back in the car and drove away.

- A 32-inch RCA television, a 13-inch RCA television with DVD player, a microwave oven and an Xbox video game system were stolen during a home burglary between July 12 and 17 in the 100 block of Dudley Street.

- A German shepherd dog and its owner were attacked by a pit bull about 8:40 p.m. July 16 in the 400 block of Main Street.

A woman was walking the German shepherd when the pit bull bit the German shepherd several times and bit the woman twice. Neighbors who witnessed the attack got a shovel and pots and pans to beat back the pit bull. The pit bull's owner, who lives in the 500 block of Camelia Street, said the dog broke free of its collar while it was on a leash in the front yard. The German shepherd's owner declined to press charges.


- A 24-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested Wednesday on drunken driving and accident-related charges after his Honda Accord crashed into the Sand Castle Plaza sign at 3700 Third St. S.

- A resident reported about 4:30 p.m. Sunday that someone broke into their home in the 1100 block of Second Avenue North and stole two necklaces, an iPod music system and 60 Hydrocodone pills. …
