SOMETIMES it is difficult to pinpoint any stand-out features that make a car special.

There might not be one particular element that gives it that real awowa factor.

But that doesn't mean it's not a good car. In fact, it can mean just the opposite.

The Dualis Ti didn't stand out for any particular reason, and no single feature gave it a sense of being extraordinary.

But as a whole, the Dualis was near flawless.

All of its components worked together to provide a well-balanced car that was smooth and comfortable to drive, while also retaining a stylish appearance.

And it is this complete package, rather than any individual bits and pieces, that really separates the Dualis from the pack.

Comfort

With its heated, sculpted front seats and leather interior the Dualis Ti offers plenty of driving comfort.

This is further enhanced by the centre console, which extends to provide a handy armrest, while rear seat passengers can enjoy their own centre armrest complete with cup holders.

There is sufficient head and legroom up front, while the higher ride height increases visibility.

All the dash controls are within easy reach and seem to be located exactly where they should be. They are clear and easy to read, as is the backlit instrument display, which is permanently lit to provide greater readability during the day.

In the rear, there is adequate width for three adult passengers but legroom is a little limited a especially if riding with a tall driver or front-seat passenger who feels the need to shift their own seat back.

On the road

The Dualis gave a consistently strong performance, with its 2.0-litre engine never struggling to maintain power or speed.

However, despite its reasonable engine size, the Dualis was noticeably quiet from the inside. The lack of engine noise is achieved through the use of multi-layer insulation, an aacoustica windscreen and a new window sealing solution.

The Dualis's responsive steering helped to provide a feeling of confidence in the vehicle and gave a sense of being in full control at all times, while the large 18-inch wheels contributed to the smooth ride. …
