JASPER the wonder dog has joined the army.

An army special unit training officer came to HappyPaws and spent three hours looking at the dogs with a special focus on Jasper, the wonder ball dog.

Brett arrived last Friday as promised to test and assess Jasper. He spent two hours with Jasper and could not fault him.

He hid balls and offered food Co anything to distract him, but all Jasper wanted was the ball. He would scent its track.

He found the hidden balls and it was fascinating to watch the process. Brett also looked at several other dogs which have similar potential at HappyPaws but at this stage they were too young.

The army likes its new recruits to be between one and two years old.

So Jasper was selected and joined the Australian Army. Honestly, I am not sure whether this is really a good thing or not, but they think he is as special as we do so we needed to give him the chance. …
