SYRINGE STABBING HORROR AT SERVO; Customer Is Wounded after Confronting Car Theft Suspect

POLICE are hunting for a syringe-wielding car thief who attacked a man at a Goodna service station.

The BP service station's security cameras captured footage of the offender during the sickening broad daylight assault, which will result in the victim having to undergo disease testing.

Springfield Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Constable Jeff O'Reilly said the offender was driving a stolen car at the time of the incident about 2.20pm on Thursday.

The victim Co a 28-year-old man who knew the owner of the silver Toyota Corolla hatch Co noticed the car at the service station and tried to stop the man from leaving. The victim was allegedly stabbed in the stomach with a syringe as he confronted the driver.

The stolen Corolla hatch then sped off, sustaining damage as it slammed into a vehicle that blocked its path.

The car had significant damage to its front and rear, with its boot flapping up and down, as it left the service station. …
