IF this crazy government is serious about on the spot fines of $100 for swearing in public, they will reap a harvest if their "spy cops" stand around high schools and sit at the back of school buses.

Maybe heavy fines should be imposed on government members that tell "porkies" also.

Cancer help

IN reply to Tom Yates' letter (QT 19/6), I knew there were some limited services available in Ipswich but I was talking about all types of cancers. I would also like to know if Ipswich has thought about obtaining a building close to the hospital to be made into a cancer treatment place. There is one for dialysis but we need a building for chemo and radiation treatment.

Why should we have to travel so far for treatment if you say you want people to move to Ipswich to live. By the time you have your treatment for chemo, mine was over three hours, and have to travel back we are really tired. I know that this part will take a few years to have fully operational. …
