BIG Brother at it again. If a person loves living on their boat and they are not hurting anyone, leave them alone. Half their luck, I say.

Ban boat dwellers

IF they cannot comply with the regulations of the Marina Board, they should be permanently banned. It is worth some time to stop and consider that these people have caused enough troubles with their rubbish, pollution and dinghy traffic. In my opinion, simply possessing a boat and the dollars to pay for a mooring do not entitle them to clog up our waterways.

Troubled waters

ONE problem is that allowing this to occur has certainly emboldened those that utilise the waterway for free. Further upstream there are long stays all the time, no doubt aware via the boatie grapevine that they can expect not to be chased for quite some time. Sounds like Queensland Transport have their hand firmly (?) on the tiller here so let's see how they navigate the troubled waters. …
