INTERNATIONAL C[pounds sterling]brain manC[yen] John Joseph gave students, teachers and parents food for thought.

The presenter held three workshops on The Impact of the Development of the Brain on Teenage Behaviour Choices in Mackay recently.

The workshops were held at Pioneer State High School as part of a series on Parenting 2010: Creating a Culture of Community Engagement.

Organiser and Pioneer State High School deputy principal Cath Jeffrey said nearly 100 teachers from state and private schools from around the Mackay district attended Mr Joseph's after-school presentation.

C[pounds sterling]People really engaged with this topic,C[yen] Mrs Jeffrey said.

C[pounds sterling]Teachers who attended said John Joseph had given them food for thought.

C[pounds sterling]We also had a much better turn-up for this topic Co which was great to see.

C[pounds sterling]John delivered some great messages; it was reassuring for parents that at some stage they do have different ideas when it comes to raising a teenager. …
