A DOUBLE to Corey Matthews secured a 2-1 victory for Clinton in their first division clash with Valleys on Sunday at home.

Clinton coach Neil Hamilton said his side was far from their best in testing conditions.

C[pounds sterling]I didn't think we played that well, we were a bit slow and sluggish in the first half but the boys were willing to put a lot more effort in after half-time,C[yen] Hamilton said.
