WHEN one of Holly Auckram's nieces or nephews is having a birthday, she doesn't need to think about where she will buy their presents.

The 17-year-old Harwood Island resident said she always goes straight to Maclean Toyworld.

"Since I moved to the Clarence Valley six years ago, Maclean Toyworld has been the first place I come to get presents," she said.

The convenience of having such an array of toys for people of all ages so close to home is part of what keeps Ms Auckram coming back.

A long-term employee at Maclean Toyworld, Sue Picton said most customers were locals who recognised the range and value.

"Why would people need to leave the Lower Clarence to buy toys when they have got everything they need at Maclean Toyworld," she said.

After living in the Lower Clarence for more than 10 years, Mrs Picton said she had strong relationship with many of her regular customers. …
