Motoring towards a Fix

SO far, so good.

Ten months after my daughter's car started cutting out at irregular and the most inappropriate times, the problem may have been fixed.

For those who haven't caught earlier instalments of the drama, here's a quick snapshot.

It first stopped near the roundabout of Bent and Through streets in South Grafton while low on petrol, but after being topped up away it went again ... for a while.

Then it stopped without warning on the Grafton Bridge, but thankfully had enough momentum to get off the bridge and into safety. But it started again straight away.

Then, in pouring rain at lunch hour, it stopped at the intersection of Prince and Fitzroy streets and I had to get out and push it out of the traffic.

I replaced the coil, which seemed to solve the problem ... for a while.

But then it played up again and no-one was game to drive it in fear it would stop in peak hour bridge traffic or something similar. …
