RUGBY LEAGUE: Kam Wilkinson is the only likely inclusion in the CQ Comets squad for the trip to Ipswich on Friday.

Last weekend's fiery encounter against Tweed Heads did not produce as many disciplinary problems for the Comets as might have been expected, but it has ruled out co-captain Marc Fickling.

The consistent Comets hooker received a two-week suspension after his tackle on Brad Davis.

Comets coach Wayne Barnett said Fickling received 120 points but already had 93 disciplinary points against his name and therefore misses the match against the Jets and the first game of the 2011 season.

Little wonder Barnett was happy as Tim Glasby, Chris Gesch and Mick Esdale were also under threat.

The news was not as good for the Tweed Heads players who jumped from the bench to fuel a melee with one receiving five weeks, and two others getting two weeks a piece for contrary conduct charges.

Barnett says Wilkinson getsnamed in the squad as a reward for his performance in Sunday's local league grand final.

"We'll probably go with Kam as he is an outright hooker and played well for Brothers in the final," he said. …
