IF you are looking to take the family out for a night of beautiful classical music, look no further than the free concert at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) on September 12.

Collusion, a four-piece classical act, will present an exciting and varied program to Mackay audiences, combining more traditional pieces by Bruch, Mozart and Khatchaturian with pieces by Australian composers Hopkins and Edwards.

The MECC, Musica Viva and BMA are teaming up to provide the people of Mackay with this completely free experience.

The variety of pieces in this program will make the concert fun and interesting for all ages, and is a great opportunity to introduce kids to chamber music.

A Brisbane-based ensemble made up of violin, clarinet, cello and piano, collusion musicians have performed internationally in Brussels, Spain, Italy and Switzerland as well as nationally in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. …
