A GOLD Coast company has offered to build an under-

water marine viewing enclosure on the Coffs Coast at no cost to the community.

Shaun Waterford of Waterford Constructions has bold plans of taking his Cyunder-

water caravans', or submersible domes, to the world.

But first he says the company needs to gain recognition for innovation here in Australia.

Lowered into oceans, lakes or inlets, the mobile concrete domes can be surrounded by artificial reefs and used for research, conservation and marine tourism.

Easily accessible to divers, the structures can also be accessible to land-based viewers through an airlock tunnel.

Mr Waterford said the creation follows five years of research and development and has been made possible through a business relationship with construction company Dome Shells Australia.
