Tribute to Great Friend, Teacher; Ex-Toowoomba Educator Dies of Heart Attack

INGLEWOOD man and RACQ president Richard Pietsch yesterday paid tribute to former Toowoomba teacher Adrienne Jericho who died from a heart attack.

Dr Jericho started his first teaching job at Toowoomba's Concordia Lutheran College in 1970 before he later secured the position of Executive Director of Lutheran Education Australia.

Dr Jericho, 62, died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack while running near his home in Adelaide.

His wife, Liz, was in England when she was told of the news.

Mr Pietsch told The Chronicle he first met Dr Jericho while playing AFL in Toowoomba.

Mr Pietsch recalled fond memories of winning a grand final in 1975 before Dr Jericho transferred to St Peter's Lutheran College in Brisbane in 1976. …
