U2 Concert the Sweetest Thing for Fans

DECEMBER 8 will be a beautiful day for Darren Gorroick and more than 60,000 other U2 fans when one of the biggest bands in the world plays Suncorp Stadium.

The Flinders View resident snapped up four tickets to the Irish supergroup's U2 360A[degrees] Tour just minutes after they went on sale at 9am yesterday.

"This will be the fourth time I've seen them," the 33-year-old said outside Ipswich Ticketek agency Briggs Road Sporting Complex.

"I've always bought general admission tickets in the past and I've been in the front row and all that, but now it's time to sit back and enjoy the music.

"I'm expecting a big event like always. U2 have always set the bar pretty high, even from the Zooropa Tour, which was the first time I saw them.

"The new (U2 360A[degrees]) set looks awesome from what I've seen."

Mr Gorroick said it was a difficult task to name his favourite U2 song from a back-catalogue that spanned 79 film clips, 56 singles and 12 studio albums including 1987's career-defining The Joshua Tree. …
