BITS reserves suffered the same fate as their A-grade counterparts with a grand final loss to Brothers Roos on Saturday at Rockhampton Cricket Ground.

Saints booted a couple of majors early and went to the first break just two points behind, then were only nine adrift at half time, but eventually they succumbed to a fast-finishing Brothers 13.7 (85) to 7.2 (44).

"Our first half wasn't too bad, then we sort of ran out of legs. They hammered us in the last quarter," BITS coach Lucas Hall said.

"We didn't match their intensity and their teamwork Co wherever the ball went they had numbers there and I don't think we ran well."

As soon as they kicked the first goal in the last quarter we dropped our heads. We just thought it was too big of a task and 15 points isn't a big task at all."

Brad Surridge toiled hard in a losing side and was awarded Saints best on ground, but Hall said there were no real standouts for the battered BITS. …
