SAINT Peter Low Fell travelled to Heworth Christian Fellowship and led 1-0 via Chris Barkless, Luke Bramhall equalising before half-time.

Bramhall and Dean Allsopp put Heworth into 3-1 lead, but Andrew Riley hit back for Saint Peters.

However, a double from Sam Cassidy gave Heworth a 5-4 victory despite strikes from Gary Allinson and Peter Furness for Saints.

Last season's League Cup winners Yarm Vineyard, now Lionsraw Teesside, saw them take on last year's Premier Division winner Billingham Crusaders.

Lionsraw struck first courtesy of Chris McGill, but in the second half John Blackburn and Luke Gate notched for Billingham to win 2-1. Two goals in the last five minutes before half-time saw Bethany City Church pull off a 2-0 result at St Charles Church Gosforth (formerly Airport Church) - Paul Robinson and Phil Young netting the goals.

Rob Bulch netted twice in the first half for Monkwearmouth Christians, Aaron Duggan and Ben Rowlands adding second-period strikes to secure a 4-0 triumph over Sunderland Methodist Circuit. …
