THE HUNT I get up in the morning with a list of jobs to do No sweat, I think, because there's many hours to get through.

Just take your time, I tell myself, the chores will disappear Until I find the very object that I need, just does not appear. Where have I laid it? Where can it be? That, oh, elusive item, hiding away from me. I search in cupboards, shelves and drawers Time is flying by, surely things cannot get worse. I hunt and hunt from room to room Somewhere, it must be found and soon. Surely, I cannot be alone, searching high and low Please just come forward, and put yourself on show. Even the Bible tells us of the hunt for talent lost So on I go with my quest, keeping fingers crossed. And now the day is almost spent, in tension and frustration And there it is, that which was lost, been in my sight for the duration.
