Great fun: Greg Woodward encourages children to get involved in rock climbing at Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre these school holidays.

Skaters in the park

BMX, Skate and Scoot Competition finals will kick off this Wednesday with plenty of talent on display at the skate bowl and music to get spectators in the holiday mood.

When: Wednesday, September 22, 3 to 5pm.

Where: Skate Bowl, Queens Park, Park Road.

Cost: Free to watch

Action at WIRAC

WARWICK Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre will have plenty of entertainment for children with an inflatable going up in the pool and the rock wall open for rock-climbing enthusiasts. All equipment is available for hire for rock climbing with 14 different climbs to try and expert staff to show you how.

When: Inflatable on Tuesday, September 21 and 28, from 12.30 to 2.30pm and rock climbing on Tuesday, September 21 and 28, and Thursday, 23 and 30, from 10.30am to noon.

Where: WIRAC, Palmerin Street.

Cost: Pool for students $3.20 and rock wall is $3

Country pools

IT'S that time of year again when the warm weather returns and the country pools in the region open their doors with plenty of fun in the sun and tasty snacks from the canteen.

When: Tomorrow 10am to 6pm.

Where: Allora, corner Raff and Warwick streets and Killarney and Willow streets.

Cost: Child $1.30 and adult $2.15

Reading and craft fun

THE library is the perfect place for children with craft activities, including a crepe flowers workshop and a gift card workshop, and plenty of great activities during normal hours for children to relax and have fun.

When: Crepe flowers workshop Wednesday, September 22, from 9am to 10am; gift card mania Thursday, September 30, from 9am to 10am.

Where: Warwick Library, Albion Street.

Cost: Free

Creating with paint

WARWICK Art Gallery will open its doors to welcome young artists eight years and over these school holidays who have a taste for flicking a paint brush for their Paint, Paint, Paint workshop. Call 46610434.
