KELVIN Anderson was not entertaining suggestions that a change of management at Maryborough Correctional Centre had triggered a change in the way officers interacted with prisoners, when he inspected the 453-inmate centre yesterday.

He was loud and firm in his praise for the centre's general manager Trevor Craig, describing him as one of the best in the country.

He said Mr Craig's influence C[pounds sterling]in every aspectC[yen] of the prison had been highlighted by the Correctional Services chief inspectors who are finalising a report on the state of the prison after a rigorous check-up.
