Cars and Bikes Burn Rubber at Enhanced Morgan Park Track

IT'S better late than never to begin a new hobby according to historic car racer Len Don who competed at the annual Cars N Bike meet at Morgan Park at the weekend.

"I have been a fan of motor racing since 1963 when I attended the Tasman Series and was inspired by racing legends such as Jack Brabham, Jim Clarke and Graham Hill," he said.

"I started my racing career 10 years ago where I competed mainly at the Lakeside circuit at Petrie and Surfers Paradise."

Upon moving to Warwick two and a half years ago due to family reasons Mr Don prefers to stick closer to home and take advantage of the facilities Morgan Park raceway now has to offer.

He said the Warwick and District Sporting Car Club, in conjunction with the Southern Downs Regional Council, has done a great job developing the precinct. …
