THE INBETWEENERS 10PM, E4 If you are the parent of a teenage boy, The Inbetweeners is better, cheaper and far more entertaining than a weekly hour of therapy. The more extravagantly disgusting the dilemma, the more relieved you feel to discover that yours isn't that bad (or, alternatively, that at least his behaviour isn't without precedent). This week Neil has a birthday party and Will struggles with a trying socio/sexual conundrum. Well, that's a polite way of putting it.

DCI BANKS: AFTERMATH 9PM, ITV1 It seems likely that ITV's decision to dramatise Aftermath, the 12th of Peter Banks's novels featuring DCI Alan Banks, has something to do with its lurid plot, which finds Banks angry and miserable at having failed to solve a disturbing case of serial abduction.
