THERE were two nervous finalists on stage. There could only be one winner - shame they managed to announce the wrong one.

Australia's Next Top Model reality show was last night hit by a catastrophe that has reduced it to a global You Tube laughing stock.

Minutes after host Sarah Murdoch unveiled the name of the winner, 19 year old Sydney model Kelsey Martinovich, on live TV, she was forced to admit she had given the wrong name.

As a look of horror crossed her face, the 2000-strong audience fell silent and the presenter stammered: "Oh my God, I don't know what to say right now," Ms Murdoch, wife of media mogul Rupert's son Lachlan, confessed: "I'm feeling a bit sick about this. No, I'm so sorry about this. Oh my God. I don't know what to say. It's a complete accident.

I'm so sorry, it's Amanda."
