LEE Collings' team selection tonight could have as much to do with the Manchester traffic as the form and fitness of his players.

Durham City's joint manager travels to Salford City happy with what he has seen on the last two counts - but six players face a race to make it to Moor Lane for kick-off in tonight's Evo-Stik League First Division North game.

Students Amar and Arjun Purewal, Ross Wilkinson, Andrew Stephenson, Gareth Ayres and Mark Dewey have lectures until 5pm, giving them two-and-three-quarter hours until kick-off in Salford.

All but Dewey played against Chorley on Saturday, but Collings may have to make full use of the 20-man squad he had that day. It could deny Durham a chance to build on a performance far more encouraging than Saturday's 3-0 scoreline suggested.

Collings said: "We played a team which is top of the league on Saturday creating eight good chances. We are playing well, we just need to start putting the ball in the net. …
