REBECCA ADLINGTON eased through to tomorrow's 800 metres freestyle final after bagging a bronze in the 200m at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

The 21-year-old dominated from start to finish to touch in eight minutes 35.82 seconds.

The Nova Centurion swimmer was in control throughout in her heat and will be favourite for the title at the Dr SP Mukherjee Aquatics Complex.

While there has been concern over poor spectator numbers at many venues across the Games, the swimming attendances have steadily risen since a poor first session on Monday morning.

The heats this morning were witnessed by around 700 spectators, including a bank of about 200 red-capped schoolchildren, as well as team members and officials.

Adlington said the heat had been "relatively easy" and was now looking forward to taking on the Australians.

She also revealed she and several of her team-mates have been suffering from mild 'Delhi belly' but that it was no "issue". …
