IPSWICH'S answer to John Edwards, Charmaine Wilson, is set to bring her unique gifts back to her former home as part of the Spirit Whispers Tour.

Since winning The One, a nationwide search for Australia's most gifted psychic in 2008, Ms Wilson has been packing theatres Australia-wide with her show which seeks to connect people with their loved ones who have passed over.

The Redlands-based medium said the hope was that the shows would open people's eyes to the psychic world.

"I hope people will see something and feel something and perhaps gain an understanding of the spirit world around them," Ms Wilson said.

She said the show typically attracted a diverse audience.

"People like to see how mediums work and are maybe spiritual themselves and there are the ones who are looking for closure," Ms Wilson said.

Unlike many psychics who are aware of their talents from childhood, Ms Wilson's psychic gifts only came to her after she suffered through the devastating grief of losing her father, brother and four-year-old daughter. …
