JANE GOODALL: BEAUTY AND THE BEASTS 9PM, BBC4 No need for anyone to bristle at the title of this documentary. Dame Jane Goodall, still beautiful at 76, admits that she was perfectly happy to use her looks in the service of her passion for the conservation of chimpanzees. As a young woman she was sent by the palaeontologist, Louis Leakey, to study chimpanzees in Tanzania and it became her life's work. This film considers Goodall's observations and her sometimes controversial methodology.

You put your wits in the device, gave the handle a couple of turns, and hey presto! Instantly sharper wits. It's a shame the team making this documentary didn't equip themselves with one.
