HALL HILL FARM SITUATED in rolling countryside near Lanchester in County Durham, Hall Hill Farm is an award-wi S nning farm attraction offering family fun.

It offers visitors the opportunity to see and touch animals at close quarters, including all types of farmyard animals from pigs to sheep as well as llamas and ponies. There is also a farm trailer ride, gift shop, tearoom, picnic and play area.

There has been a lot of investment at Hall Hill Farm this year, and new for 2010 is the "Geet Big Shed" - a great undercover area with toy tractors. Also new this year is the Barrel train, which twists and turns around the paddock.

Anyone three years and over can have a ride, even mums and dads as long as you can fit in the barrel. The farm holds a number of special events throughout the year, such as the annual Teddy Bears' Picnic in August. Farm owner Ann Darlington said: " We were absolutely delighted to win a Gold Award. Hall Hill Farm was the first farm to open to the public in the region and we have always aimed be the best.

"We are committed to providing a real farm experience for the children of the North East and I am immensely proud of all we have achieved."
