IRON MAN 2 (12) ... AFTER announcing to the world that he is Iron Man, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jnr) jealousy guards the secrets of his technology, infuriating Senate Armed Services Committee run by Senator Stern (Garry Shandling).

While rival arms industrialist Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) concocts a plan to destroy Stark Industries, now under the control of new CEO Virginia "Pepper" Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Russian physicist Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) creates a crude replica of the electromagnetic device in the industrialist's chest and transforms himself into the villainous Whiplash.

Action scenes are slickly orchestrated and though the final showdown is a huge anti-climax, Downey Jnr's rapport with Paltrow energises several scenes and Rourke's tattooed villain is quietly compelling, * GET HIM TO THE GREEK (15) ... AFTER years of dizzying success, rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) is on the slide -his latest album is blasted by critics and he breaks up with his girlfriend.

During a meeting with record company supremo Sergio (Sean Combs), underling Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) hits upon the idea of a 10th anniversary comeback concert to celebrate Snow's most famous live outing at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

The title refers to Sergio's ultimatum to Aaron but unfortunately Aldous loves to party, leading to a series of debauched encounters that jeopardise Mr Green's relationship with his girlfriend. * GREENBERG (15) .. ROGER Greenberg (Ben Stiller) is a 40-year-old malcontent who walked away from a recording contract and potential fame and fortune with his band Magic Marker.

He gave up everything to become a carpenter, which is a useful trade to smooth out the rough edges of Stiller's wooden performance in Noah Baumbach's bleak film.

Roger moves temporarily to LA to house-sit for his brother Phillip (Chris Messina) and keep an eye on his German Shepherd dog called Mahler. …
