HUNDREDS of teenagers can find out more about dream jobs when Middlesbrough's biggest annual careers guidance event comes to town.

Over 1,200 students and their parents are expected to attend the Choices 2010 careers fair at Middlesbrough Town Hall this Wednesday, when 52 exhibitors will be offering advice.

The event has been organised by Middlesbrough Council''s Integrated Youth Support Service (IYSS).

Among the careers on show will be graphic design, hair and beauty, catering and construction, with a number of live demonstrations to be held during the day and the 5pm to 7pm evening slot.

Middlesbrough Mayor Ray Mallon will open the event, which is aimed at helping pupils learn about their post-16 options and will feature training providers, colleges and universities as well as employers.

Mr Mallon said: "I never tire of repeating myself that young people are the future of this town - they are its only future.

"They need the best start in life, and then the best possible direction to make sure they make the most out of the undoubted talent they have. …
