IT is not chocolate, romantic dinners or private interludes with their loved ones that working mums crave the most Co it is simply spending time with their family.

An Aussie Mums survey by Nestle showed 58% of the 10,689 women interviewed said spending time with their family made them happiest.

The results came as no surprise to clinical psychologist Dr Vanda Brink.

"This is because our sense of happiness in life is often derived from what we value most, and to most people their family is their most prized possession," Dr Brink said.

The survey also found many mums did not believe they had the right work-life balance. Only 46% said they had achieved this happy medium.

Dr Brink said a good work-life balance was important for a healthy and happy life.

If partners thought they would rank highly on happy-making stakes they were wrong.

The survey found only 6% of women considered spending time with their partner as the one thing that made them happiest in life. …
