Weekends Offer a Return to Normality after Doing Gigs

BRISBANE band The John Steel Singers are ready to burst on to stages around the country this month with their debut album Tangalooma just released.

But band member Tim Morrissey fills us in on how he likes to spend his weekends at home with his fiancA[c] Bri.

"Well ideally you wouldn't wake up with too much of a hangover on Saturday morning," he laughs, abecause that certainly wouldn't be a good start.

"Compared to most, I guess I sleep in but I consider it a delayed sleep pattern as I'm usually up until 2am or 3am.

"But the best way to start is with a bike ride with Bri to get a coffee from my favourite cafe Cup at West End. I usually go down for one and stay for three as the coffee's so good.

"We have a house with a yard in Annerley and I spend Saturday morning mowing the lawn, which is kind of nice because you get to come home to some normality after travelling to gigs. …
