THE Grafton Rifle Club fired from the 800 yard mound on the Saturday for the second stage of the Long Range Trophy. The 12 shooters who took part shot in stable light with a changing left breeze. The mirage was heavy at times.

Derek Higgins and Peter Brown recorded possibles on the day. Peter Brown won the top off the rifle trophy and the daily aggregate went to Derek Higgins. Rob McCracken won top off the rifle trophy in F-class and also took out the aggregate.

No shooters picked up championship points this week, with the lead still be held by club Captain Nick Abrahall along with current champion Robert Black. Nick is aiming to claim his first Full-bore crown, to go with his already stellar year at the club. Whilst Robert is hoping to become the first member to win the championship 4 years in a row. …
