HOLIDAY CARDS CREATED AT THE SULZBACHER CENTER

Looking for a different kind of holiday gift? The Sulzbacher Center is offering a selection of holiday cards.

Each card purchased for $15 provides a night of safe shelter at the downtown homeless center.

The three different cards available - there's one for Thanksgiving, one for Hanukkah and one generic holiday card - were designed by children living at the Sulzbacher Center.

CUMMER OAK FEATURED IN NEWARK, N.J., EXHIBIT

The Cummer Oak, which is part of the gardens at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, is featured in an exhibit of landscape photography now on display in Newark, N.J.

The Cultural Landscape Foundation's 2010 "Landslide: Every Tree Tells a Story" features 25 images from 12 locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

It will be on display at the Aljira Center for Contemporary Art in Newark through Saturday, Jan. 8.

ETHAN ALLEN PARTNERS WITH CUMMER MUSEUM

The Ethan Allen Design Center in the St. Johns Town Center will operate a Cummer Holiday Shop through Sunday, Dec. 19. Proceeds from items sold at the holiday shop will go to support programs at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.

ART FOR TWO

Today: The Cummer's Art for Two program, aimed at an adult accompanying a child ages 3 to 5, will explore making prints from carved blocks.

Participants will draw inspiration from the "Art of War" exhibit of World War II prints, which closes Sunday.

Art for Two, which takes place from 10:30 a.m. to noon, is $10 per pair for members and $15 for non-members.

YOUTH SYMPHONY CONCERT

Sunday: The Jacksonville Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform its Fall Concert at 5 p.m. in the Jacoby Symphony Hall at The Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.

Highlights will include Brahms' "Tragic Overture" by the JSYO Philharmonic and Rossini's Overture to "The Barber of Seville" by the JSYO Repertory Orchestra. …
