Cove Rangers ................................... 0 Berwick Rangers .............................. 3 BERWICK Rangers boss Jimmy Crease had nothing but praise for his troops after they disposed of Highland League Cove Rangers to progress to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

The Borderers manager is hoping they will be rewarded with a money-spinning tie in today's draw.

"Let there be no doubt this match was far from easy," said Crease. "It was tough and we really had to play to get a result. We were under a lot of pressure for the first 20 minutes, but we defended exceptionally well".

The manager had a special word of praise for central defender Andy McLean.

"This was probably his best performance in a Berwick jersey. He was immense, absolutely magnificent and thoroughly deserved the man-of-thematch award".

Crease admitted: "I was on edge until the second goal went in, but overall I thought we showed our all round qualities and David Greenhill's goal when he beat five men before picking his spot, would have to be a contender for goal of the season". …
