NEW ZEALAND hooker Keven Mealamu admits he may have to be more careful when clearing out at rucks as he prepares to return from suspension against Wales on Saturday.

The 31-year-old missed the wins over Scotland and Ireland after being handed a four-week ban, reduced to two on appeal, for striking England captain Lewis Moody with his head during the All Blacks' 26-16 win at Twickenham on November 6. The ban officially ended yesterday and the Blues front-rower is likely to be thrust straight back into the starting XV as the tourists go in search of a Millennium Stadium win which would secure a third Grand Slam of the Home Unions in six seasons.

And while Mealamu insists he will not change his approach to the game, he knows he may need to be a bit more careful.

He said: "It may be at the back of my mind but I have to do my job, which is to remove people from the ruck if they are getting in the way or slowing the ball down. …
