TALENTED galloper Subculture will be racing for new owners when he tries to extend his excellent record in the Fiona Beamer Stock & Station Agent Benchmark 55 (1550m) at Grafton tomorrow.

Subculture was sold by Grafton trainer Wayne Lawson to some first-time owners during the week who were keen to purchase an up-and-coming galloper.

"He has been a good horse to me winning five races and hopefully he can win again at his last run for me and his first for the new owners," Lawson said.

"He has only ever performed well at Grafton, but hopefully when he gets to his new trainer he races just as well in Brisbane.

"He is a son of Commands with a fair bit of potential and on Sunday he gets up to a distance I think suits him best.

"The 1600 metres up to 2000 metres suits him best but of late the races haven't been at Grafton for him."

Subculture won his first two starts for Lawson after arriving from Victoria and has gone on to another three victories in a total of 10 starts at Grafton. …
