TYNESIDE pupils got into the festive spirit with a pantomime - oh, yes they did.

M&M Theatrical Productions visited King's School in Tynemouth as part of their North East tour.

The talented cast's performance of the traditional panto, Cinderella, was met with enthusiasm by more than 300 pupils from King's Juniors, Priory Primary, Cullercoats Primary, and Kinder Castle Nursery in Tynemouth. Tour manager Laura Gore said: "This was the best show we''ve done so far.

MEETING Whitley "King's hall had a great atmosphere and plenty of space for slapstick and dance routines. The children were fantastic, fully involved despite the bad weather, cheering and booing in all the right places. Their lovely welcome and lively responses lifted our performances. We were treated like stars."

Head of King's Junior School, David Littlefield, said: "This is an annual visit by M&M Productions. They present a very professional show which always leaves the pupils spellbound and leads them into discussions which often continue back in the classroom. …
