IN THE Under-Eights Premier Friendly Division, sponsored by Total Sport, Castle Park took on Primrose Pumas and came away with a 7-2 win.

Goals for Castle Park came from Teasdale (2), Knowles and four from the impressive Ridley, with Caizley and Ellison scoring two great goals for the Jarrow side.

In the Pumas' second game they took on FC Sparta and in a cracking match came away with a victory.

Primrose started really well and went 2-0 up in the first five minutes through Barker and Caizley, but Sparta hit back to level 2-2 when Hart smacked home two corkers.

Primrose fought back and took the lead again when Barker and Hannant made it 4-2, but Sparta would not lie down and Hart completed his hat-trick to make it 4-3. His side then levelled the game at 4-4 when Blatchford fired home.

Primrose struck the killer blows when McKivitt and Barker, who completed his hat-trick, put their side 6-4 up to clinch victory.

Hebburn Town Blues continued their fine form with victory over five-man St Cuthbert's, who never gave up trying. …
