Water Watching Becomes Bundy's Favourite Sport

EVER since I was a child I've had a love affair with wet weather.

I love the smell, adore the sound on the roof and can't get enough of jumping in puddles.

Over the weekend I realised that a lot more people share my passion for a good soaking than I had previously believed.

Travelling around with our photographer, Max, we could not believe the amount of traffic on the roads which had been created by people who just wanted to have a look.

As we stopped to take photographs, car after car passed or stopped Co some for the same reason, some for a quick paddle and others just to have a look.

By the time we headed to Lions Park at about midday the water-watchers seemed to be out in force. Traffic slowed to a crawl as dozens of cars tried to get across to see the river at high tide.

It really was quite a sight to see Co water swirling beneath the bridge at a great rate of knots while the toilet block at the park just peaked out over the murky water. …
