CORAL Cove man Daniel Hevenor bought his home on the Esplanade because of its glorious sea views.

But last week he was horrified when he came home to an unexpected new feature Co a bus shelter right opposite his house.

"When you look out our window, it's the only thing you see Co it's blocking our views," Mr Hevenor said.

"We used to have sea views from our front door, living room and dining room. Now we just have a bus stop."

Mr Hevenor and his wife, Eleanor, bought the house five years ago, with its seafront position a major drawcard.

After spending some time overseas, they have lived there for about two years, and said they had not heard a word about the shelter until it was built.

"There was no consultation about it. We just came home and it was there," Mr Hevenor said.

He was also concerned the shelter created a blind spot for cars coming around a nearby bend.

But one of the most frustrating parts was that even his own daughter would not benefit from the addition. …
