THE highly regarded Priceless Art was made to pull out all the stops to justify very cramped odds in the toteswinger ''Jumpers' Bumper'' at Southwell.

Trainer Alan Swinbank described the five-year-old as ''one of the best horses I've trained'' following his facile course success less than a week ago and he was sent off at 2-11 to follow up.

All appeared to be going according to plan until the final straight, but 20-1 chance Jack The Gent proved a tougher nut to crack than anticipated.

The two of them settled down to fight it out and Priceless Art just managed to get the better of the argument by a head.

''He's still a nice horse. He hasn't done anything since he won here last week,'' said the Richmond handler.

''We'll give him a month off now and then run him in a novices' hurdle somewhere on a bit of good ground.'' Swinbank had another oddson shot go to post for the Bet totepool On All Irish Racing ''Jumpers' Bumper'', but the strong travelling First Rock (5-6) could not repel the late charge of 9-2 chance Lightening Rod. …
